3. Daniel Jones – NY Giants

The Giants kicked off their season with with a win for the first time since 2016. New York rallied at half time to put in a better performance on both sides of the field with Saquon Barkley rushing for 164 yards and one touchdown in his best performance since his rookie season in 2018.

Daniel Jones had an up-and-down game. A poor back shoulder throw to Barkley was intercepted in the end zone by Titans defensive back Amani Hooker and that was a mistake Jones has recorded time and time again.

Jones held up well under pressure, completing 81 percent of his passes while being pressured 69 percent of the time on his drop backs. The fourth-year quarterback finished Week 1 17-of-21, with 188 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

Jones also had the fourth highest passer rating Week 1. Maybe it is not too late for a turnaround here, which is why he’s No. 3 on our list. Jones will have the chance to make a big statement going up against Baker Mayfield and the Panthers in Week 2.
