Watch refs rob NY Giants of big Kadarius Toney gain with garbage call
The last thing the New York Giants offense needs is to have the guys in stripes screw them with a bogus call. Daniel Jones and Co. are having a tough time as it is moving the rock, and they were just roobed of what should have been a 36-yard gain to wide receiver Kadarius Toney. Instead, laundry arrived on the field and it should have never happened.
Toney was able to break free for the large gain and MetLife exploded in celebration. Instead, offensive pass interference was called on fellow wideout David Sills. You’ve got to be kidding me with this BS. Straight up, it was a garbage call and it robbed the G-Men of much-needed momentum.
NY Giants WR Kadarius Toney can’t catch a break right now
How in the world can you call that? Sills was looking back at Jones and the defensive back ran into him. This wasn’t an illegal play whatsoever. This would have been huge for Toney’s confidence too. We all know he needs to get some of his swagger back. Imagine if that play would have stood. Who knows, maybe the Giants would have been able to finally find the end zone.
Instead, they were pushed back and ended up punting the ball back to the Panthers shortly after that flag was thrown. Giants fans are furious with the call and understandably so.
That killed what could have been a game-changing drive for New York. The offense indeed has struggled in the first half, but this would have been a monster play for the unit.
The refs just had to ruin things thanks to an awful call. This simply can’t happen again. In what’s been such a low-scoring game, a blown decision like this could come back to haunt the Giants. Let’s hope it’s not the difference in having them go 1-1 on the year instead of 2-0 at the final whistle.
