If you take a look on Twitter, just about everyone in Big Blue nation is making it painfully obvious that they’re tired of wideout Kenny Golladay. The man signed a four-year, $72 million deal last offseason, yet he’s only been able to post two receptions in 2022 and he hasn’t scored a single touchdown while donning an NY Giants jersey?

Yeah, that’s just not going to cut it, especially when you’re playing in the New York market. Golladay is going to keep getting bashed until he starts delivering.

Inside of the locker room, however, the guys next to KG know he’s still a stud and has plenty of potential with the organization. NY Giants safety Julian Love backed Golladay while appearing on WFAN’s Tiki & Tierney radio show.

NY Giants safety Julian Love has plenty of faith in Kenny Golladay

"“It’s a tough situation,” Love said. “(Brian Daboll), as soon as he got into the building he said that we’ll operate on a week-to-week basis – kind of like what can you bring to the table each week? In terms of roles, I was lining up at linebacker most of this week, so our inside linebackers their snap counts went down significantly. Nothing went wrong, it’s just how it goes. That’s how it is on the offense too, they saw something in Sills, he had some good plays in the game. It’ll fluctuate, so we’ll see how this week goes in terms of Kenny. But he’s locked in. He’s ready. His locker is right next to mine in the locker room. He just goes about his work, he’s in early, he’s there late just like the rest of us. We’ll see how that changes. It’s definitely a weird situation, but (Daboll) sticks to his word and he’s looking for the best matchups and best opportunities come Sunday.”"

That’s a powerful quote from Love, as it’s clear he hasn’t been loving the negative talk surrounding his teammate. Unfortunately for Golladay, all that negative talk has been justified in our eyes. He’s on a monster contract, yet his body language has been disappointing to see at practice and during games.

He looks mentally checked out at times. We need to see the wideout show some fight and hunger for this team. With the Dallas Cowboys heading to town on Monday night, it would be incredible to see Golladay score his first touchdown with the G-Men.

You know that moment would provide plenty of relief for him too. Let’s keep our fingers crossed Golladay can make noise in the huge rivalry game. If you ask Love, he knows KG will be able to rise to the occasion if Daboll gives him more looks.
