4 NY Giants who have no excuses going up against the Dallas Cowboys
1. QB Daniel Jones
Yes, the NY Giants are 2-0, and yes Daniel Jones has not necessarily played ‘bad.’ However, Jones has had far too many slip-ups and bad decisions to say he is without fault. Obviously not everything is perfect around him, as quite frankly, the offensive line of the Giants has been somewhat disappointing.
Regardless, Jones has yet to prove that he can be the future franchise quarterback of the NY Giants. If he can minimize his mistakes and lead the NY Giants to their third consecutive victory, he could begin to turn the doubts of some fans around.
Throughout the first two games, Jones has completed 39 of his 55 pass attempts for 364 yards, three TDs, and one interception. While these numbers are certainly not bad, they are nothing special. Especially when you take into account the multiple missed throws he has had thus far.
Jones has already come up clutch in both of the NY Giants games this season. If he can continue to do this, then there is no saying what the future may hold for him as a NY Giants. He’s still playing for his future with the team. A strong win over Dallas could help his chances of returning next campaign.
