2. Being ready for the Dallas pass-rush

The Dallas Cowboys have seen their own offensive struggles in the first two weeks. Despite that, their defense has played extremely well. Two weeks into the season, Dallas’ team defense ranks Top 10 in the NFL. Leading that defense is their second-year All-Pro linebacker, Micah Parsons.

He is the only player to have at least 17 sacks in his first career 18 games. Parsons had two sacks each in the first two games of the year. Along with the two sacks in each game, he’s had nine total tackles, four tackles for loss, and seven QB hits. One player who may be able to equalize the skill of Parsons is the Giants fourth overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, Andrew Thomas.

Thomas has improved in each season with the Giants so far. He had a better 2021 season after a rough start as a rookie. In 2022 through two weeks, Thomas is the NFLs highest-graded tackle with an 89.1. His dominance has resulted in him giving up zero sacks thus far and just four pressures. Praise must be given to Giants OL coach Bobby Johnson. He’s one of, if not the best in the league at developing young offensive linemen into elite players. Big Blue fans hope that Johnson can do the same with rookie tackle Evan Neal.
