It’s incredible how the NY Giants are 3-1 right now with how unlucky they’ve been with injuries to their wideouts. We learned on Thursday that Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney didn’t travel with the team to London.

Then, on Friday morning we got an update on Toney’s injury and this makes things even more frustrating for the NY Giants: his other hamstring is now giving him issues.

For those counting at home, this is now three separate hamstring injuries this season for Toney. How is that possible? It’s only Week 5. Regardless, you really hate to see any player have to constantly battle through injuries like he does. Don’t expect to see him on the field for a while. Dealing with two separate hamstring injuries at once is just brutal.

NY Giants WR Kadarius Toney is dealing with another hamstring issue

Despite how injured he has been, we’ve still seen how explosive he can be when he is 100 percent healthy. Toney had his two best games yet vs. the Saints and Cowboys in back-to-back weeks in 2021. In his career, Toney has only played 60 percent or more of the offensive snaps just three times. Again, the best ability is availability.

The Giants WR core is paper thin right now. In the regular season the team has lost Wan’Dale Robinson, Golladay, Toney, and Sterling Shepard to various injuries. WRs available for Sunday are David Sills, Richie James, and Darius Slayton. Other pass-catchers like Marcus Johnson and Kalil Pimpleton may be elevated from the practice squad for insurance reasons.

Daniel Jones and the rest of the Giants offense are going to have to do what they can to keep up with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. This could be a long day for the offense, and there will surely be extra pressure on Saquon Barkley to ball out.
