A DJ Moore trade could still be smart for the Giants

While the Giants could choose to look at other options besides Moore, he could prove to make the most sense. Moore is a legitimate WR1 with three 1,000-plus yards receiving seasons to his name. He could quickly become the receiving threat that many anticipated Kenny Golladay would be. And he has the potential to become much more.

Through the first five games of the 2022 season, Moore has struggled to get going on a bad Panthers offense. He has recorded just 17 receptions for 197 receiving yards and one touchdown. But,he seems to be looking for an opportunity to put up a big game. Moore has a contract that the Giants could manage to take on. With his recent extension not starting until next season, he will be under contract until 2026.

The decision to bring in Moore would help this team both now and in the future. It would eliminate their need to add a veteran pass-catcher in the off-eason, and it gives their long-term quarterback, whoever it may be, a reliable pass-catching option.
