This moment meant the world to NY Giants pass-rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux. The G-Men are now 5-1 on the year after beating the Baltimore Ravens, with the defense making some monster plays late in the fourth quarter to get things done.
Yes, we’re going to be talking about Julian Love’s interception for quite some time. However, don’t forget about the No. 5 overall pick Thibodeaux recording his strip-sack against Lamar Jackson. This helped the G-Men seal the deal. Shortly after the final whistle, the first-year standout was overcome with emotion. This win really meant a lot to him.

NY Giants rookie Kayvon Thibodeaux was overcome with emotion after Week 6 win
This really is amazing to see from Thibodeaux. The rookie campaign hasn’t gone according to plan for the youngster thus far, as he missed the first two games of the year with his knee injury. He entered Week 6 without recording a sack, but he picked the best time possible to get No. 1 on the board for this defense.
Thibodeaux was consistently making his name heard in this game, but the fact that he was able to make his game-changing play late in the action made things even sweeter. Props to Leonard Williams too for being in the right place at the right time to come away with the key fumble recovery.
The Giants defense as a whole made life pretty tough for Jackson in this one, which was expected with defensive coordinator Wink Martindale being so familiar with him. Thibodeaux’s play was on the money and shortly after that, Danny Dimes went into victory formation.
New York can’t stop proving people wrong. Just about everyone assumed the Ravens would come out on top, but the opposite was the case. Now, more big-time plays will continue to come from Big Blue and Thibodeaux will surely keep proving all of his doubters wrong.
