1. Daniel Jones has stepped up his level of play

With his lack of options on the outside, it’s hard to believe Jones has helped this team get to 6-2 at this point. Both Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney figured to play huge roles for him this season, but Toney has been traded to the Kansas City Chiefs, and Golladay hasn’t been on the field since the Week 3 loss to Dallas.

Despite that, Jones has been able to overcome plenty of adversity and record some strong performances through eight games. None were better than the magic he created against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7. In yet another upset win, Jones was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after posting 309 total yards and two touchdowns.

He took a bit of a step back against Seattle, being held to only 176 passing yards and 20 hashes on the ground. Still, though, Jones has looked strong and his play is definitely something that has pleased Daboll and Co.

Imagine how good Jones could be if he actually had a decent WR group to throw to. Jones may not get a new deal this offseason, but he sure has given Schoen and the entire front office something to think about.
