2. Tennessee WR Jalin Hyatt

Tennessee’s Jalin Hyatt has thrown his name into the mix as the most explosive wide receiver in college football. Over his first two seasons at Tennessee, Hyatt appeared in 17 total games. He recorded 552 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns on 41 total receptions.

In just eight games this season, Hyatt has already exceeded his numbers from his first two seasons combined – he has recorded 907 receiving yards and 14 receiving touchdowns on 45 total receptions. His 14 touchdowns is a new Tennessee single-season record.

Hyatt, while already putting on a breakout campaign, put the college world on fire against Alabama earlier in the season. He finished the day with six receptions for 207 receiving yards and five total touchdowns. Hyatt managed to give the Alabama defense bigger problems than nearly any wide receiver in recent history.

Hyatt has found much of his success this season with his speed. He can stretch the field and is always at risk of making a big play. The Volunteers have often leaned on the deep ball, and Hyatt has been on the receiving end of these passes. He is currently averaging 20.2 yards per reception this season.

Hyatt joining the Giants receiving room could help give this unit another receiver with elite-level speed. Slayton has been that guy for this offense. Adding Hyatt would give this team two pass-catchers with elite speed which will add another layer to this offense.
