This week, things really are heating up when it comes to the free agency of Odell Beckham Jr. Cowboys players are recruiting him left and right, while the NY Giants remain in the mix of things as well. With Saquon Barkley attending Odell’s birthday, you already know he was recruiting his good friend to come back to East Rutherford.

Joe Schoen has a tall task in getting OBJ to sign, there’s no doubt about that. While things could be promising for a reunion, there’s also plenty of concerned fans out there. With that in mind, here are the three main threats standing in the way of the G-Men potentially getting something done.

3. Aaron Rodgers is desperate for wide receiver help

Among the seven teams that have been mentioned as possible destinations for OBJ, the Green Bay Packers are on the list. This should worry people in East Rutherford. Sure, the Packers are in the middle of an embarrassing season, having lost five games in a row. This isn’t the Green Bay of old.

Despite that, Aaron Rodgers is still throwing the ball around at Lambeau Field and you know he’d love to have Beckham catching balls from him. A fully healthy Beckham is 100 percent way better than any other wideout on the Green Bay roster. No disrespect to Allen Lazard, but come on, he’s nowhere near the level of Beckham.

Green Bay needs some help for the WRs room and they need it fast. Rodgers is miserable without Davante Adams out on the field catching balls from him. Beckham could become Rodgers’ new best friend and also put the Packers in a position to turn their season around. Green Bay surely is a team to watch in this sweepstakes.
