This alone should have NY Giants general manager Joe Schoen ready to give Saquon Barkley every penny he wants this offseason. Barkley, once again looking like one of the best running backs in the game, put on a show in the win over the Houston Texans last Sunday. Not only that, this man is using the field as his audition for Saturday Night Live as well.

In the middle of that win over the Texans, Barkley had a big play on his mind. Before getting that done, though, he told Daniel Jones that he’d expect ‘Vanilla Vick’ to get down to the other end of the field to celebrate with him. Wait a second, Vanilla Vick is Jones’ new nickname? That’s just incredible.

NY Giants RB Saquon Barkley is proving to be a national treasure

That clip above is nothing short of glorious for fans everywhere to enjoy. Hey, it’s not too far off, however, as Jones has showcased some wheels throughout the season in 2022. Actually, one sec, let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves.

While Jones has run for some big gains, we can’t put him in the same rushing category as the one and only Michael Vick. He’s not there yet. Regardless, Barkley showing his teammate this kind of love is not only hilarious, but it’s great to see too.

The two youngsters have been through so much together in East Rutherford. The fact that they’re in the middle of outstanding seasons and powering the G-Men to a 7-2 record must be so special for them.

Come Sunday against the Detroit Lions, NY is favored to record a victory at MetLife Stadium. In order for that to happen, Barkley will need to be his usual self and we’re going to need to see some outstanding play from Vanilla Vick as well.
