1. Stud – Pass-rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux

Giants rookie edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux put on one of his best performances of the season against the Cowboys. His presence was felt all over the field and he was consistently making his way to the backfield.

Thibodeaux, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, recorded just one total tackle. But that doesn’t tell the whole story. According to PFF, Thibodeaux was on the field for 21 total passing downs. During these plays, he recorded five quarterback hits and nine total pressures.

Throughout his rookie season, Thibodeaux has quickly become a force for this Giants defensive front. In nine games he has recorded 21 total tackles, one forced fumble, three defended passes, eight quarterback hits, and one sack.

While not consistently filling up the stat sheet, Thibodeaux has had several games where he has still made an impact. This group is still yet to be fully healthy. The core of Azeez Ojulari, Dexter Lawrence, Leonard Williams, and Thibodeaux are still yet to take the field together.

When they do, there is an argument that this could be the most explosive defensive front in the NFL. With Thibodeaux securing a spot on this defense, this group will only continue to get better. We can’t wait to see more of the youngster in the coming weeks.
