It wasn’t too long ago that we saw NY Giants linebacker Tae Crowder complain about his lack of playing time on social media. Now, it’s looking like there’s a very good chance that we won’t be seeing the former Mr. Irrelevant suit up for the G-Men against this season – or ever again for that matter.

According to The Athletic’s Dan Diuggan, Crowder is expected to be a healthy scratch for the Giants for the Sunday Night Football game against the Washington Commanders. On top of that, Duggan is also reporting that Landon Collins will be elevated to the 53-man roster from the practice squad.

NY Giants LB Landon Collins will have his revenge game in Week q5

Crowder’s play has been rough this season and he’s been quite unhappy about his reduced action. Following the Week 13 tie against the Washington Commanders at MetLife Stadium, Crowder basically asked to be released on social media. He didn’t record a single defensive snap in that contest and was furious.

Crowder doesn’t like his situation with the Giants defense and he’s surely got his future with a different team on his mind. The decision to make him a healthy scratch for Sunday Night Football tells us Joe Schoen doesn’t see him in Big Blue come 2023 either.

Meanwhile for Collins, the safety/linebacker will hope to make a splash going up against his former team. Collins signed a huge deal with Washington after leaving East Rutherford, but things didn’t really work out as expected for him with NY’s NFC East rival.

Now that Collins is back with Big Blue for his second stint, he hasn’t quite made the kind of plays that people were hoping to see out of him. That all could change on Sunday night, though, as the Giants must win this contest to try and keep their playoff hopes in a good spot.
