1. Wink Martindale’s defense will be ready to rock

The Giants defense has been stunningly good this season, and the defensive line is becoming borderline dominant. Azeez Ojulari, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Lawrence, and Williams have become a fearsome foursome, constantly dominating the opposing team’s offensive line.

The Giants secondary has been a pleasant surprise, and has produced many unsung heroes like Nick McCloud and Fabian Moreau. Julian Love has stepped into his role as captain, and picked up the slack in the absence of McKinney. Jason Pinnock, who was claimed off waviers from the Jets right before the season, has taken McKinney’s spot, and made some huge plays on safety blitzes the last two weeks.

This defensive unit that is playing their best football of the season now gets to battle a Foles-led offense that scored just three points on a subpar Chargers defense. We all saw Mike Glennon play some of the worst football in NFL history late last season, and after watching Foles play on Monday Night, it is quite possible he is worse than Glennon ever was.

I would not be shocked if the Giants hold the Colts to single digits for the second week in a row. Wink’s boys can smoke cigars together on Sunday night, as they will be headed to the postseason.
