1. RB Saquon Barkley

This past season, Saquon Barkley once again established himself as the face of this team. The former No. 2 overall pick was a star for the G-Men. On the ground, he rushed for the most yards of his career with 1,312. He also added 10 rushing touchdowns. Through the air, he added 57 receptions for 338 receiving yards.

With Barkley back to form, and looking like one of the best running backs in the NFL, he could be set for a massive payday. After reportedly rejecting the Giants initial offer, he may very well fall out of the team’s price range.

Barkley is expected to be on the search for a contract similar to that of Christian McCaffrey. Based on how he produced in 2022, he could very well find that elsewhere. He is a proven talent both on the ground, and in the receiving game. On several occasions, he has proven that he can single-handedly elevate an offense.

Losing Barkley would be a major loss to this offense. This year’s free agent class has several talented running backs, but Barkley is on a different level.  Barkley has made it clear that he wishes to remain with the Giants. In turn, his decision could fall entirely on Joe Schoen and the rest of the front office. If they aren’t willing to budge on their offer, then Barkley could end up playing for a different squad next fall.
