1: Devin Bush

While Devin Bush may still have upside as a 24 year old in this league, he has been really unimpressive thus far in his NFL career and the Giants may want to avoid taking a gamble on him. Bush is far from the worst linebacker in the league, but he certainly isn’t great and there’s a reason the Steelers declined his fifth-year option. Maybe some new scenery could help Bush’s trajectory, but it doesn’t look too promising as of right now.

In 17 games last season, Bush racked up 83 combined tackles, while allowing 30 receptions on 39 targets for 335 yards and a touchdown. Alongside this, Bush saw a dramatic decrease in snaps towards the end of the season, only playing 31 total snaps in the final three games.

Considering this, alongside the fact that the Steelers had arguably one of the worst linebacker cores in the NFL, it really isn’t a good look for Bush and we wouldn’t be surprised if Pittsburgh decided not to bring him back.

Things started off incredibly well for Bush in the NFL, as he looked like a budding star following a rookie season in which he placed third in voting for Defensive Rookie of the Year. However, after a torn ACL in his second season, things really haven’t been the same for him.

Bush shares many of the same struggles as the aforementioned candidates and it would be so much better both in terms of money, and potential, if the Giants addressed LB in the early rounds of the draft compared to signing a player like Bush.
