This is what we’re talking about. For NY Giants general manager Joe Schoen, he has made it quite clear that he’s going to be aggressive this offseason in trying to help the G-Men and Daniel Jones land some offensive weapons. At receiver, you know the position is going to be a major focus for Schoen and Co.

Could it lead to a head-turning trade in the near future? That’s what Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News has us thinking about, as he mentioned Buffalo Bills’ wideout Gabe Davis as a potential target for Big Blue. Bringing him in sure would be something.

The Giants trading for Bills WR Gabriel Davis would make plenty of sense

"“Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis, meanwhile, could be a potential trade target if Buffalo can’t reach an extension with its No. 2 wideout who has shown No. 1 ability,” Leonard wrote. “Davis, a former fourth-round pick, is due to make $2.9 million in the final year of his rookie contract. And the Bills already are paying Stefon Diggs big money. It’s no secret that Schoen and Daboll have a high affinity for Davis. Daboll was the play-caller for Davis’ eight-catch, 201-yard, four-touchdown AFC divisional playoff outburst in Jan. 2022.”"

Davis is coming off his best season with Buffalo, hauling in 48 balls for 836 yards and seven touchdowns. He and head man Brian Daboll are quite familiar with one another as well, as Coach Dabes was previously Davis’ offensive coordinator.

With Daboll running the offense, we all saw Davis put on an electric show against the Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round during the 2021 campaign. In that contest, Davis caught eight balls for 201 yards and four touchdowns.

As Leonard noted, the Bills already have Stefon Diggs on a monster contract and they may not be able to extend Davis down the road. With him entering the final year of his contract, who knows, perhaps Buffalo would look to part ways with him for some draft picks. If that’s the case, then Schoen would be wise to try and get something done. Davis could prove to be a fantastic addition for the G-Men.
