With everyone assuming that the NY Giants and Joe Schoen will take a speedy wideout with their first-round pick, could Big Blue end up shocking us all come draft night? You never know what might end up happening, but it turns out not everyone thinks that Schoen and Co. are going to prioritize a wideout.

In his newest Mock Draft, NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein has the Giants going with Utah tight end Dalcon Kincaid with the No. 25 overall pick. Kincaid is considered one of the top TEs for his class, and he’s got great hands/is a beast with his blocking. How would fans feel about this selection?

Could the NY Giants use their first-round pick on tight end Dalton Kincaid?

"“This could be a fairly easy call, as Kincaid’s sticky hands and high-volume capability allow the Giants to mix up their “11” and “12” personnel groupings more frequently,” Zierlein wrote on Kincaid and the G-Men."

Don’t get us wrong, Kincaid is an absolute baller and he’d be a fantastic addition for the Giants. However, plenty of people in New York indeed are hoping that the team will bring in a WR at No. 25 overall. What’s going to be something to watch in the first round, though, is where some of NY’s top targets will be at to start things off.

Guys like Quentin Johnston, Jordan Addison, Zay Flowers and Jaxon Smith-Njigba are all high on the Giants’ board, but they may not be there for the taking late in the first round. All four of those players are gone by the time the Giants are on the clock in Zierlein’s mock draft.

With this, it could lead to Schoen going with the best player available, regardless of the position. The Giants need pass-catchers, defensive backs, interior offensive linemen and more this offseason.

With Daniel Bellinger playing so well last season, no one thought TE would be a priority for the giants. However, if Kincaid is there when it’s NY’s turn to send in their pick, maybe Schoen will end up bringing him to town.
