Holy primetime flop, Batman. Talk about an ugly game. Only the New York Giants can make watching Sunday Night Football feel like a chore. And they pulled it off effortlessly in Week 3, under the lights of MetLife Stadium during their home opener.

Their 22-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs is about as miserable as it gets. And unlike Week 2’s heartbreaking overtime loss in Dallas, this one has Russell Wilson’s fingerprints all over it. The Russ Bus was clearly out of gas after last week. He finished the night 18-of-32 for 160 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions.

This is a game the G-Men are going to want to forget ASAP. Playing the Chiefs (even when they’re not fully healthy) is always tough, but making it harder on yourself for no reason is inexcusable. Wilson’s time as the starter is officially on clock watch. Here are three takeaways from his listless Week 3 showing against Kansas City.

3 Russell Wilson takeaways from Giants' BLANK Week 3 loss vs Chiefs

Russ is back... to throwing ducks

To say Wilson’s two interceptions were bad would be an understatement... it would be an insult to bad throws. Just bone-headed decisions, really. Known for his moonball deep shots, both picks came on horrifically underthrown balls.

His first interception was practically gift-wrapped for Chiefs rookie Chamarri Conner, who easily jumped in front of a Wan’Dale Robinson go route in the second quarter. The second one? Even worse. Targeting Malik Nabers in the end zone, Wilson badly underthrew him for an easy Jaylen Watson pick.

One week after a 450-yard performance, and his arm looks just as cooked as it did the past two seasons.

Investing in a masseuse is a must with all the looking over his shoulder

It's officially time for the 36-year-old to start investing in a masseuse, chiropractor, therapist, every and any professional he needs to consult with now that the Jaxson Dart noise has arrived. After his second interception, Giants faithful were caught chanting, "We want Dart!"

Fortunately for them, the 22-year-old rookie got on the field — even if it was only for a few plays. Dart’s time is coming. It’s just a matter of when. Wilson’s shoulder won’t just be sore from throwing picks or shouldering the loss. It’ll be sore from looking over it, with the rookie waiting to prove he’s next.

His inconsistency will plague the G-Men

Week 1 was brutal. Week 2 was amazing. Week 3 was atrocious. Flip, flop, flip, flop... it needs to stop. This team isn't going anywhere if its starting quarterback is a different player week-in-and-week-out. Big Blue needs any sort of consistency from Wilson, and if he can't provide that, it's time to move on.

There's just no other way around it — Giants nation has seen too much roller-coaster-quarterback play over the past six-plus seasons to justify any more of it. The team can't and won't win with erratic play.

Look no further than their late fourth-quarter drive inside the 10-yard line. Three passes with goal-to-go, and he never even gives his receivers a chance at making a play. That's unacceptable.
