The NFL Scouting Combine is officially over. No more obsession with draft prospects' hand size, arm length, and straight-line sprints in shorts. Well, at least for now.

The New York Giants made the most of their Combine experience. In addition to getting a front-row seat to the show in shorts, the team’s brass met with several prospects, some of whom could very well be future Giants come April.

But beyond the measurables and meeting rooms, the Combine always gives us something better -- unfiltered moments. Whether it’s a prospect winning fans over at the podium, taking a subtle shot at a rival, or confidently calling their shot, Indianapolis never disappoints. This year was no different.

4 Combine moments that gave Giants fans something to chew on

  1. We could all use a little bit of Caleb Downs' confidence
  2. Sonny Styles might be the closest thing to a real-life unicorn fans have ever seen
  3. Jeremiyah Love sneaks his way into Giants' draft convo with Cowboys hate
  4. Joe Schoen gets exposed as the worst GM of the NFL... by his own players

We could all use a little bit of Caleb Downs' confidence

One of the more entertaining podium moments belonged to Ohio State safety Caleb Downs. The 6-foot safety is very much in play for the Giants at No. 5, and while he did meet with Harbaugh and Co., it was his self-belief that stole the spotlight.

Downs is the best safety in the class and has a strong case for best overall player in the draft. Turns out it’s not just draft analysts and scouts who think so:

I wish I had that level of confidence. If I could hop online and say I don’t think anyone writes better than me, that’s not true. I actually don’t hate it.

Sonny Styles might be the closest thing to a real-life unicorn fans have ever seen

I'm not saying I was originally a hater when it came to the idea of the G-Men selecting Sonny Styles fifth overall a little over a month ago when he was mocked to them, but I wasn't exactly open to the idea, either.

And hand up, that's on me because I could not have been more off-base, and I think accountability is important. It's almost as if Styles wanted to publicly humiliate me with his literal otherworldly Combine performance, putting together the most impressive testing drill results football fans have ever seen. Ever.

Just take a look at the ridiculous stat below:

For reference, the 6-foot-5, 244-pound linebacker's 40 time was faster than George Pickens' (4.46). His broad jump was further than Derwin James' (11-foot-2). And his vertical was higher than Davante Adams' (43.5). I'm not saying the Giants could get the Pickjadams of linebackers, but I'm not not saying it.

Jeremiyah Love sneaks his way into Giants' draft convo with Cowboys hate

Giants fans root for two teams on Sunday: Big Blue and whoever is playing the Cowboys. It turns out Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love lives by the same standards.

In a hilarious interaction with the media, the 20-year-old was asked what it would mean to him if the Cowboys drafted him, and let's just say he wasn't exactly over the moon with the idea. When asked what it would be like to play for the "Star" on his helmet, he had an all-time NSFW reaction:

“Um, I mean... sh*t," Love said while laughing hysterically, "I’m just blessed to go anywhere. It’d be an honor to wear the star or any other team as well.”

Not only is he the best RB prospect, but he also hates the Cowboys. Win-win.

Joe Schoen gets exposed as the worst GM of the NFL... by his own players

Depending on how you look at it, Schoen receiving the only grade lower than a C in the GM poll is either objectively hilarious or morbidly terrifying. Regardless, what incredible timing to announce the results obtained by ESPN to release the results at the first tentpole event of the offseason. No shame. All gas, no breaks.

If there were ever a wake-up call for the much-maligned GM, this would be it. It'd be one thing if this were a fan poll, but his own players can't even hide how bad things are under his leadership. With free agency and the draft right around the corner, it's time for the 46-year-old to put these demons to rest and be better. The future of the organization is on the line.
