If there's one thing the New York Giants proved throughout the preseason, it's that this team has four roster-worthy quarterbacks.
Russell Wilson is the starter and going nowhere. Jaxson Dart gave fans a glimpse of what the future could look like with one of the most impressive rookie debuts in recent memory. And Big Blue isn't entertaining any offers for Jameis Winston — just ask the assistant general manager. That leaves Tommy DeVito as the odd man out.

Funny enough, Tommy Cutlets' preseason might have been the most impressive, at least numbers-wise. He finished 30-of-38m, for 323 yards, four touchdowns, one interception, and a shocking 126.2 quarterback rating. Since the G-Men will only carry three QBs into 2025, it feels like the Italian from Jersey's time is all but borrowed at this point. Still, several teams have questionable QB rooms and could use his services. Here are four of said teams.
5 Tommy DeVito trade destinations
Cleveland Browns
There's a semi-possible chance the Browns go into the 2025 season with 53 quarterbacks on their roster. At least that's what it feels like. Believeland is in QB chaos right now, and it's all self-inflicted. After the debacle that became the Deshaun Watson trade, the team has been spiraling ever since.
In this offseason alone, they have traded for Kenny Pickett, signed Joe Flacco and Tyler Huntley, and drafted Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. Tell me you have no direction without telling me. So why would they want to trade for another QB? Because none of these guys are the now, and many of them won't be the future either. DeVito brings starting experience and is youthful enough (27) to be both if he performs well.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings might not seem like an obvious destination at first, but a quick look under the hood, and question marks start to stick out like a sore thumb. The team is solely relying on J.J. McCarthy, who missed his entire rookie season due to a torn meniscus. Behind him, there are no reinforcements.
Sam Howell, Max Brosmer, and Brett Rypien are the only things standing in the way of absolute disaster if McCarthy shows he isn't ready or gets hurt again. DeVito is a better option than any of the three. He's already proven to be an elite locker-room guy, making this a more interesting fit than itt looks like.
New Orleans Saints
Talk about a quarterback mess. Yes, the Browns are signing everyone under the sun, but at least they're actively trying to improve their QB room. The Saints are... doing something else entirely. Spencer Rattler looks like the starter, then it's (soon-to-be) 26-year-old rookie Tyler Shough, and then Jake Haener. That's rough.
Why wouldn't the Saints take a flyer on Tommy Ravioli? Why not add some Italian flair to the Cajun cuisine? NOLA has already been linked to Winston, so maybe there's an alternate reality where they make a move for the other backup QB? DeVito feels like a much safer bet than any of these guys on the Saints' roster.
Pittsburgh Steelers
With Aaron Rodgers finally choosing the Steelers in free agency, it did a lot to reassure the team that their QB room will at least be competent entering 2025. However, behind the 41-year-old, it's a hodgepodge of break-glass-in-case-of-emergency options. And for a team with (delusional) Super Bowl aspirations, bringing in a more seasoned backup like DeVito makes a lot of sense.
Tennessee Titans
Tennessee spent the No. 1 overall pick on Cam Ward, and has done little else in the QB room to help him succeed. It really feels like it's Ward... and then no one else. Brandon Allen and Trevor Seimian aren't playing as well as DeVito. And with Will Levis out for the season, the team could use another, better third-year backup to help clean up if any hiccups arise.
This is a team that's one Ward injury away from a complete nightmare. Tommy Breadsticks can at least keep the team somewhat afloat if disaster strikes.
