If there is any silver lining from the New York Giants' deflating loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, it's that they found their next franchise quarterback in Jaxson Dart.

Going up against the NFL's best defense, with the most sacks in the league, Dart threw for a career-high 283 yards and three touchdowns, including a rushing touchdown during the waning seconds of regulation. Despite the main talk of this game continuing to be New York losing in grand and historic fashion, the former first-round pick is receiving high praise from a fellow first-round selection.

Andrew Thomas knows the Giants have something special in Jaxson Dart

While it may still be hard to wrap our heads around how Big Blue managed to lose a game they were up 19-0 heading into the fourth quarter and up 26-8 with under six minutes left, All-Pro tackle Andrew Thomas spoke very highly of Dart's "resiliency" after throwing a costly interception that ended up being the turning point of the game.

"I think he's going to be a really good player for us in the future," Thomas said after the game on Sunday to reporters.

Dart was quite simply phenomenal and has been electric since taking over as Big Blue's starter back in Week 4. The 22-year-old already has 10 touchdowns (seven passing and three rushing) and has brought life and excitement to a Giants offense that has been anemic for a very long time.

From keeping plays alive with his legs to showing off his arm, this has been the kind of quarterback play Giants fans have long been waiting for. And it’s happening without star wide receiver Malik Nabers, who is out for the year with a torn ACL, and without No. 2 wideout Darius Slayton, who has now missed two straight games.

The Giants may be 2-5 and continue to find ways to lose games they very well should’ve won, but as Andrew Thomas alluded to, Jaxson Dart’s resiliency and all-world talent are real — and should be exciting to watch for a long time.
