The New York Giants opened the season with a Week 1 win over the Dallas Cowboys, but the schedule gets tougher as they travel to Los Angeles to face the Rams on Monday Night Football, who look to get in the win column after a loss to the Niners last week.
Not only do the G-Men take on the early Super Bowl champion favorite on the road in Week 2, but they’ll also likely face Aaron Donald, who is expected to make his debut for the Rams this week after retiring two seasons ago, adding another major hurdle for Big Blue’s offense.

Cam Skattebo was asked about playing against Donald and said he hasn’t practiced much or played at all. He added, “If it is his first game, he's got to be ready for it, just like we do,” telling Giants fans the offense will be ready for Monday night.
You have to think the 35-year-old will be on a snap count, as the Rams will ease him back into game action since he hasn’t played football in nearly two years. Either way, Big Blue’s offensive line has to protect Dart, and that starts with winning in the trenches.
Skatt went on to compliment the 35-year-old, calling him “one of the best to do it,” and said, “I'm excited to play against him...If I have to meet him in the hole on 3rd and 1, so be it. I gotta get one yard,” underscoring how directly he expects the matchup to be decided.
If anyone is up for the challenge of going up against a future Pro Football Hall of Famer like Donald, it’s the Giants’ second-year running back, who thrives off contact and this new brand of football that John Harbaugh has implemented: physicality.
Harbaugh has gone on the record saying he wants the Giants' identity to be bullies and play a hard-nosed, punch-you-in-the-mouth style of football, and it’s clear that if they want to start 2-0 and beat Donald and the Rams, they will have to keep buying into this culture.
All eyes will be on the Skattebo vs. Donald matchup on Monday night.
