Daniel Jones has now proved he's not the Giants' answer in multiple countries

How much longer can this go on?

Daniel Jones is currently in the process of his 69th career start with the New York Giants. In a league where top picks are being benched after less than a full season of starts, New York's patience with the former No. 6 overall pick is starting to look more foolish by the game.

Jones had a perfect shot to stay hot in Week 10, as he is fresh off a solid game against the Washington Commanders and was in line to suit up against the lowly Carolina Panthers during the NFL's annual Germany game. It's not unrealistic to say that Carolina has perhaps the worst defense in the entire league.

You wouldn't have known that watching Jones and the Giants. Not only did Bryce Young look halfway decent to start the first half, but his Panthers managed to take a 10-0 lead after a first half that was so putrid that the Drew Lock chatter was in full force again.

Between Jones completing just six passes for 54 yards and leading the Giants to a whopping zero points, one has to wonder if a coach on the hot seat like Brian Daboll could be considering a quarterback change. Once again, Jones has been underwhelming in the primetime lights.

Daniel Jones' terrible play vs. Panthers gets benching rumors started

On the first drive of the game, Jones was mocked for missing a wide open Malik Nabers down the field despite a pristine pocket. After two punts, the Giants' first scoring opportunity was blunted by Graham Gano missing a field goal. Things got worse from there.

Jones had two of his receivers comically wide open on a flea flicker play, but the Giants didn't get any points out of it after a sack. After getting into the red zone, a rollout pass attempt was tipped and intercepted by the Carolina defense. Things have gone from bad to worse for Jones and New York.

Despite his nightmare of a first half, Daboll decided to roll with Jones as the quarterback in the second half. Lock may not be Joe Montana, but this organization can't keep rolling Jones out there and acting surprised when they don't put out a quality offensive product.

While the Giant defense has woken up after a very sluggish start, it has become clear that Jones is limiting this offense. If they are to win this game, a heavy dose of Tyrone Tracy is needed to stave off a motivated Panthers team.
