Look, we’re not here to start a war with Baltimore Ravens fans. But if you woke up wondering whether Jaxson Dart might be better than Lamar Jackson, congratulations — you might be smarter than the average NFL front office... kinda.
Because thanks to something called the Star-Predictor Score (yes, it’s a real thing, stop being so skeptical), we now have hard data telling us that the New York Giants rookie quarterback is on a trajectory to completely leapfrog one of the league’s most decorated signal callers.
And it's not just Lamar. We’re talking Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts... the whole crew. Dart’s SPS score? The cleanest 100 the league has ever seen. The first perfect grade in the metric’s 20-year history. Not a typo. Just cold, algorithmic truth. By comparison, Lamar Jackson pulled a 99.2. Good try, two-time MVP. Maybe next time, champ.
The SPS: Star-Predictor Score is a test that simulates the potential score of players, trying to predict their success when entering the NFL.

Jaxson Dart is the only QB to ever achieve a 100 SPS score. He scored higher than Patrick Mahomes & Lamar Jackson.

So yes, you’re well within your rights to fire off a “future Hall of Famer” tweet and start mocking up bust renderings of Dart in Canton. It’s what the data would want — nay — require.
The math says Jaxson Dart’s already better than Lamar Jackson — and who are we to argue?
If you’re unfamiliar with the Star-Predictor Score (SPS), don’t worry. You’re not alone. Until recently, most of us assumed “SPS” was just a new stat ESPN would unveil during Monday Night Football and immediately forget existed. But this one has some legs. It’s a data-driven metric that analyzes 15 distinct scouting and athletic performance categories to forecast NFL success.
It’s basically Moneyball but for irrational optimism. And somehow, Jaxson Dart broke it.
Now, does this guarantee he’ll be better than Lamar? Absolutely not. Nuh-uh. By no means. But we also have eyes. Last year alone, Dart threw for 4,279 yards, added nearly 500 more on the ground, led Ole Miss to double-digit wins, and then crushed rookie minicamp with dot after dot like he was working off muscle memory from a Joe Burrow mixtape.
The arm talent’s real. The mobility’s there. The leadership? Ask head coach Brian Daboll — the guy who helped build Josh Allen and reportedly begged Joe Schoen to trade back into the first round and get him Dart. This was all about a head coach planting his flag on his next star QB.
Lamar is a two-time MVP, the most electric quarterback the league has ever seen, and a household name. But in the sacred halls of the SPS? He’s second place. Obviously no one in their right mind is suggesting Dart is better than Lamar, but the stat is funny and gives Big Blue Nation legitimate hope. Heck, he might not even crack the top 100 all-time when it's said and done, but we're not here to forecast revisionist history. For now, it's Lamar who?
So go ahead and laugh it up. Get the jokes flowing. But if Dart Vader turns out to be as good as or better than Lamar, just remember where you heard it first. From the numbers. And from a Giants fan blog that never doubted the kid.
