The New York Giants will wrap up their miserable 2025 season on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. But let’s be honest, this season was over weeks ago.
To say things didn't go the way that anyone hoped would be an understatement. Speaking of things not going according to plan, remember when they signed Russell Wilson to a one-year deal, only to bench him three games in for rookie quarterback sensation Jaxson Dart? Wild times. Safe to say he won't be back in Giants blue next season.
Over the cap has the G-Men around $17.5 million in cap space before cuts, restructures, or trades. Keep that in mind as you brace yourself for the sheer number of guys who'll be coming off the books.
With the season mercifully coming to a close, it’s time to look ahead. And that starts with figuring out which players might be playing their final snaps in North Jersey come Week 18. Here are all 24 players entering free agency this offseason.
Full list of Giants hitting free agency after the 2025 season
Unrestricted free agents:
- QB Russell Wilson
- OT Jermaine Eluemunor
- OT Evan Neal
- DL Rakeem Nuñez-Roches
- OL Greg Van Roten
- WR Wan'Dale Robinson
- TE Chris Manhertz
- LS Casey Kreiter
- OC Austin Schlottmann
- OL Joshua Ezeudu
- OL Aaron Stinnie
- LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles
- LB Victor Dimukeje
- CB Cor'Dale Flott
- WR Gunner Olszewski
- TE Daniel Bellinger
- SAF Dane Belton
- LB Micah McFadden
- DL D.J. Davidson
At first glance, that’s a lot of names, and it is. But for the Giants, losing most of them should be addition by subtraction. At least, you'd hope so after being dragged through another miserable season.
Of the 19 players listed, there are really only five names that Big Blue Nation needs to monitor: Eluemunor, Robinson, Flott, Bellinger, and McFadden.
Of those five, only Bellinger doesn't start, but he's a serviceable backup tight end behind Theo Johnson. He's likely looking for a slightly bigger payday and a bigger role, putting his status to return in jeopardy.
Similarly, Wan'Dale Robinson might take his first 1,000-yard campaign and book it to the next Brinks truck. The 25-year-old will be looking for a massive pay increase after putting together the best season of his young career. Depending on the per-year dollars, he very well could be playing on another team next season.
Flott figures to also capitalize on his fourth-year breakout with a hearty new deal. After an offseason battling with Deonte Banks for the CB2 role, he eventually took it and never looked back. All he did with the increased playing time was have the best season of his career.
McFadden will be coming off a season-ending injury, but with a clear need for linebacking depth, fans should expect him back, barring something crazy. As for Eluemunor, the nine-year vet could try to secure one last long-term deal as he's put together a very solid second season in East Rutherford.
Restricted free agents:
- WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton
Giants fans haven't really gotten to see much of Ford-Wheaton over the past three seasons. He missed his rookie season with a torn ACL. He only saw the field on special teams in his second season, making some big plays. But just as he was looking to build off that momentum, he suffered his second season-ending injury in three years during training camp with a torn Achilles.
It's a brutal blow for a 25-year-old who'll have to convince another team to take a flier on him after some truly horrific luck.
Exclusive rights free agents:
- LB Zaire Barnes
- CB Nic Jones
- WR Ryan Miller
- CB Art Green
Exclusive rights free agents are players with fewer than three accrued NFL seasons whose contracts are expiring. Their original team can offer a one-year, league-minimum tender, and the player has no negotiating power. They either sign the tender or risk sitting out the season.
It's unclear which ERFAs the G-Men would like to keep. Green and Jones could be kept on as training camp invites -- Jones comes from the Chiefs and had a strong summer last year -- but you never know.
