Welcome, New York Giants fans, to a new opinion-focused series I'm coining, Everything's Van-Fine.
This series will offer my opinions and perspectives on hot topics surrounding the Giants that have fans currently fuming. Now, of course, the hot and somewhat controversial topic of the week is about our legendary quarterback Eli Manning.
It was reported this week that for the second year in a row, Manning failed to get enough votes to get enshrined this season in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Big Blue fans are rightfully outraged and frustrated by him falling short yet again, especiallyconsidering Manning's constant durability and clutch performance throughout his 16-year playing career, but relax, everyone, our boy will get into Canton when it's all said and done.
Even though his career .500 record (117-117) as a starting quarterback may be the prime factor in the Hall of Fame Selection Committee voting him down for the second year in a row, it is almost unfathomable to think they will keep using that record as the reason Manning doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame.
We've actually reached a weird point in time where Eli Manning has become massively underrated as a player in his career

They will not forget Eli's two Super Bowl wins, the first against the previously unbeaten New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII, when that Patriots team was undoubtedly the best the NFL has ever seen. Did I also mention he was named Super Bowl MVP in both games?
And once again, I’ll pull up this video. Eli Manning should be a Hall of Famerpic.twitter.com/txvhcu7MlX https://t.co/Sn7o3kV4pg

Manning's other notable career stats will be things the committee can't ignore. He's a four-time Pro Bowler, he ranks first in Giants history in passing yards, touchdown passes, wins, and in fourth quarter comebacks. He also started in 210 consecutive games (second all-time) and was the recipient of the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.
So everyone can relax and know that our legendary quarterback Eli Manning will get to Canton in the future.
