Free agency has kicked into high gear for the New York Giants. They've added new faces throughout the defense, putting a lot of resources into the secondary, adding quality depth to the defensive line, and bringing in pieces that can contribute on special teams.
Offensively, they've re-signed key pieces on the offensive line, brought back Darius Slayton—much to the surprise of many fans—and are still playing a game of musical chairs at the quarterback position. But what about the Giants' free agents?
Of their 19 free agents, 12 remain without a home. Here’s a look at who’s still on the market:
Giants free agents that are still unsigned
Top remaining free agents
Drew Lock, QB
- So far, there's been little to no mention of Lock returning to Big Blue or any rumors of him signing elsewhere.
Isaiah Simmons, LB
- No reported interest from the Giants or other teams at this time.
Azeez Ojulari, OLB/DE
- Has shown flashes of promise throughout his career but has struggled with injuries.
- If he can stay healthy and improve against the run, he could be a solid addition for a team.
- Has received some small interest from the Philadelphia Eagles.
Other Giants free agents still unsigned
Matthew Adams, ILB
- Brought in last year primarily as a special teams player but missed time due to injury.
- The Giants have since signed Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles from the 49ers to replace him.
- Still looking for a new team.
Gunner Olszewski, WR/ST
- Signed last season as a return specialist but went down with an injury.
- Lost his role after Ihmir Smith-Marsette stepped in and impressed.
- With Smith-Marsette now re-signed, there's no path back for him.
- Currently no reported interest from teams.
Chris Hubbard, RT
- Stepped in and fought hard to stabilize the offensive line.
- With the Giants adding Stone Forsythe and James Hudson, his return is unlikely.
- Still on the market.
Short-term stints, no market yet
Armon Watts, DT
- Made some plays for the Giants but saw his season end early due to injury.
- Currently no reported interest from teams.
Tim Boyle, QB
- Played briefly last season and actually looked like the Giants' best quarterback at times.
- However, with the Giants pursuing Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson, his return is highly unlikely.
- No rumors of teams interested in him yet.
Ty Summers, LB
- Came over from the Dolphins and was primarily known for his special teams contributions.
- Suffered an injury that cut his season short.
- With Flannigan-Fowles signed and Dyontae Johnson returning, his time with the Giants is done.
Remaining free agent cornerbacks
Elijah Riley, CB
- Added for depth during the Giants' injury struggles last season.
- With the Paulson Adebo signing and expected draft depth at the position, he's unlikely to return.
- No reported interest at this time.
Divaad Wilson, CB
- Brought in late last season to help with depth in the secondary.
- With the Giants' current secondary situation, there's no clear path for him back to the roster.
- No market reported yet.
Greg Stroman, CB
- Of the remaining corners, the Giants actually liked what they saw from Stroman in limited reps.
- However, with the Adebo signing and likely draft additions, he's unlikely to return.
- Could be picked up later in the offseason.
What’s next for the Giants?
With free agency still ongoing and the draft approaching, the Giants may continue to tweak the roster. While some of their former players could return on short-term deals, it's clear that the team is moving forward with a new vision.
