Veteran wide receiver Allen Robinson II remains an unrestricted free agent. However, he's still keeping up with NFL news, specifically the aftermath of the New York Giants' decision to fire head coach Brian Daboll.
Robinson enjoyed a brief stint with the Giants, where he overlapped with Daboll. Yes, the wideout's tenure lasted just a handful of months. But his connection to New York and the latter make him equipped to speak on the turbulent fallout between the two parties.
Much has been said about Daboll's leadership, or lack thereof, following his dismissal. It's been one in-depth bombshell report after another, with each being worse than the last. Robinson couldn't help but take to social media and laugh at the timing of the slew of chatter that appears aimed at slandering the former.
It be a lot of detailed information coming out on in house stuff in the Big Apple 🍎 lol

Former Giants WR Allen Robinson highlights lingering drama post-Brian Daboll firing
Where was all of this juicy, "detailed" intel when Daboll was with the Giants? How was the toxic work environment kept under wraps until after his dismissal? If everyone was seemingly aware of the circumstances, why didn't New York's brass take action earlier?
Word of Giants owner John Mara gearing up to axe Daboll days before it happened kicked off a vicious media cycle in New York. Then, it was the poisonous culture, exemplified by first-round rookie pass rusher Abdul Carter's going unpunished for repeated tardiness to meetings until the latter's departure.
The Giants are letting the door hit Daboll on the way out. Whether that's fair or not is a moot point. Regardless, New York chose to air out all of his dirty laundry now rather than letting him address it head-on as the chaos was unfolding.
It's become undeniably clear that Daboll's time in New York had run its course; the Giants desperately needed a new voice on the sidelines. Yet, the public emptying of the notebook indicates that the issues went beyond him; the franchise at large may be rotten to the core. There's a leak in the building, one that the club doesn't seem interested in plugging, as Robinson alludes to.
There are very valid questions raised by Robinson's out-loud thoughts. Members of the locker room ostensibly had been holding back about the organizational dysfunction under Daboll's tutelage or were looking past it. Nevertheless, we may not have ever known about any of this if the situation hadn't become untenable.
