Giants' Brian Daboll gives infuriating answer for why he benched Daniel Jones

There are a lot of angry NY Giants fans right now. In the 28-3 loss to the Eagles on Sunday, a game in which Philly dominated from start to finish, absolutely nothing went right on offense for head coach Brian Daboll. It was frustrating to watch.

Things were so bad for Daboll, he decided to make a big decision early on in the fourth quarter. That's right, plenty of eyebrows were raised when Daniel Jones was benched and Drew lock entered the game. Unfortunately for Lock, he wasn't able to do much of anything either.

So, what was Daboll's thought process there? Well, right after the final whistle, Daboll said that he put in Lock to create a 'spark' for the offense, which is why he gave Jones the rest of the day off. He also said Jones is his QB moving forward. Dude, what in the heck?

With his team down three scores in the fourth quarter, you would have thought maybe Daboll would have changed things up with his play-calling to help out his starting quarterback. Instead, with the offensive line looking terrible, it seemed like nothing was going to help whoever was running the O.

No disrespect to Joshua Ezeudu, but he continues to prove he has no business playing left tackle for this team. He was a big reason why the line couldn't do anything to give Jones enough time to scan the field for his wideouts.

Jones tossed for 99 yards and he couldn't get his offense into any kind of a rhythm. Neither could Lock for his short time operating things. If Daboll wasn't planning on giving Lock a serious look at being QB1 for the rest of the season, why have him take the field for a short amount of time and then waste no time in saying Danny Dimes is his guy moving forward?

Big Blue supporters were irate enough after the loss, but Daboll's explanation somehow has people even more ticked off. The Giants are now 2-5 on the season and it feels like the campaign is fully lost. Nothing is going right for this team, and Daboll is the first one who must be held accountable.
