It's time.

After a Week 10 collapse to the Chicago Bears, it was time. The New York Giants officially decided to fire head coach Brian Daboll, immediately replacing him with Mike Kafka as the interim.

With Daboll gone and rookie sensation Jaxson Dart dealing with a concussion, though, where exactly does this move leave the 2-8 Giants? This is a team that held so much excitement, recently, behind the likes of Dart and fellow rookie, running back Cam Skattebo.

Now, both are injured and the head coach is finally gone. What do they do? Well, it might be painfully obvious to some, but not everyone.

In Week 11, Kafka should make the call to start veteran Jameis Winston over Russell Wilson in the coming game against the Green Bay Packers.

Following Brian Daboll's firing, it's time for the Giants to get the good vibes rolling

Forget the idea of losing the rest of the season and tanking for a better draft pick.

For what? What's the point? This team has its franchise quarterback and they have a vaunted pass rush behind the electric Brian Burns and company.

Sure, Skattebo is hurt. And yes, Malik Nabers is out for the season. But, this team has some cornerstones in place and the fan base is starving for some wins. It is about time that the Giants start winning games they're supposed to win, with or without Dart in the immediate future.

It's likely the Giants will end up having to pick between Winston and Wilson for Week 11, and we've already seen this story before with Wilson. He can no longer be that guy. He can no longer "cook," as he once did ... he is, in fact, cooked.

Meanwhile, this team can rally around the positivity of Winston. He might not be the first choice, but Winston is as good a backup quarterback as any in this league. And, the Giants held onto him for a reason. What's that reason?

The reason is here and now -- this is the reason.

Right here, right now, it's time to throw Winston in there and let him sling it. This team needs any and all positive vibes, momentum and wins they can get. Forget tanking. Forget losing out this season. The Giants finally made a move that should cause this locker room to wake up, come together and start trending in the right direction despite the gloom and doom of current injury situations.
