The NFL Trade Deadline is less than three weeks away, and the New York Giants' desire to add to their receiver room is one of the worst-kept secrets in the NFL. After Malik Nabers went down, things went to DEFCON-1 in New York, as a trio of Wan'Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton, and Jalin Hyatt wouldn't cut it.
Earlier today, the Giants restructured the contracts of both Paulson Adebo and Jevon Holland—potentially to pave the way for a deadline acquisition. While some names have been floated around, it's becoming clear that Joe Schoen wants to add one of the Packers' starting wideouts.
Just gonna say this before Rickey does, but the Giants have called the Packers about WRs Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks recently. (Also several other teams about their WRs, including Washington for McLaurin and the Dolphins for Waddle.

The G-Men are making calls to help Jaxson Dart, and both Schoen and Brian Daboll are looking to do whatever's necessary to save their jobs. Wide receiver is one of the biggest needs on the roster, and with this team having a chance for the division again, they can't let that window close.
Joe Schoen and the Giants are calling around for receiver help
The players most heavily linked to the Giants include Jakobi Meyers, Rashid Shaheed, Chris Olave, and Christian Kirk—but those are not the only noteworthy names. A report surfaced earlier that New York is interested in Jauan Jennings, but it's evident Schoen is searching down all possible avenues.
Packers writer Easton Butler mentioned all three of Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Dotayvion Wicks for Big Blue, but Doubs makes the most sense. The 25-year-old might be the most expensive to acquire of the Green Bay trio, but has been highly productive entering a contract year
Watson has yet to make his season debut, has been designated for return after tearing his ACL at the end of last season. Meanwhile, Wicks would step into the big-body role that guys like Lil'Jordan Humphrey and Isaiah Hodgins have played across the last few seasons.
Doubs was a 2022 fourth-round pick out of Nevada, and has caught 18 passes for 234 yards and four touchdowns in five games this season. He's been the Packers' best receiver this season with Jayden Reed injured, but the emergence of first-round rookie Matthew Golden hs his future in doubt.
Watson is another interesting case, as the injury history of the 2022 second-round pick is something to take note of. The North Dakota state product has never played a full 17 games, and has contiually taken a step backwards every year after dazzling as a rookie.
Butler also mentioned how Big Blue called about Terry McLaurin (which will not happen) and Jaylen Waddle, which would be bigger swings than fans are expecting. Whether it's a former Packer or not, the Giants are pursuing a wide receiver trade, and will more than likely make a move before Nov. 4.
