They say seeing is believing. So, don’t look now, but the New York Giants might have finally found the perfect quarterback to fill the Eli Manning-sized void they’ve been stuck with for six seasons. Rookie sensation Jaxson Dart hasn't just delivered two wins in his first three starts. He's looked every bit the franchise savior fans were hoping for while doing so.
With signature wins over the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles — under the primetime lights, no less — Dart has proven he belongs in this league. It's only been three starts, but Big Blue Nation is starting to get a sense for what the Dart era is going to look like: Fun. But they're also going to be competitive, which is a far cry from what this fan base has had to suffer through for over a decade.
The eye test already confirms the 22-year-old is the guy, but it’s the quiet milestones from his first 180 minutes of pro football that really paint the picture. Through three starts, Dart's accomplishments rival superstars Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, and Patrick Mahomes, and that alone should have Giants fans bursting with excitement.
Jaxson Dart’s rookie feats put him in rare company with NFL elite
If anyone was wondering, the Ole Miss standout's legs have been put to great use. In fact, his 50-plus rushing yards in all three of his starts puts him in elite company — think Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts:

Good luck tempering expectations or level-setting rational thinking with that company. Between the two, they only share two MVP awards, six Pro Bowls, four All-Pro teams, and a Super Bowl championship. So yeah, not bad company to keep at all.

What could be more impressive than sharing the history books with those two greats is sharing history with today's greatest quarterback, Patrick Mahomes:

That's right, folks. Dart and Mahomes are the only two quarterbacks to lead their respective teams to opening drive touchdowns in their first three starts. I'm not saying the 25th-overall pick is going to be the next modern-day great, but... I'm not not saying it.
Cautious optimism is the name of the game — but no one would blame you for going full-send into irrational excitement mode. It's unbelievable what Dart's accomplished in such a short time.
The rookie is now forever intertwined with Jackson, Hurts, and Mahomes. Talk about a group every quarterback ever would like to be a part of. The best part is that these milestones are so much cooler than him already tying Daniel Jones for primetime wins as Big Blue's starter under center.
If you’re a Giants fan, you should be losing your mind — this might finally be it.
