The New York Giants didn't play in Week 14, but the fanbase came out of Sunday looking like true winners. Big Blue is now in possession of the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, and fans got to watch both Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson try their hand at a future in sports media after they retire.
While nothing notable happened during Wilson's appearance on The NFL Today on CBS, the same couldn't be said for Winston on FOX NFL Sunday. Like usual, the former No. 1 overall pick was a walking sound byte, and even managed to give high praise to Jaxson Dart during the program.
Famous Jameis called the first-round rookie a "young superstar", and that's something he's witnessed firsthand. The veteran saw some action while Dart was injured earlier this year, but Winston applauded his tenacity and work ethic despite the Giants' dismal 2-11 record this season.

The 31-year-old is heralded as one of the best teammates within New York's locker room, and managed to prove why he's so beloved by fans on Sunday morning. And he even managed to cap off his praise of Dart by complimenting Wilson to ensure the entire QB room received their flowers.
Things didn't go so swimmingly for the Ole Miss product in his first start back from concussion protocol in Week 13, but Winston's words suggest he won't let the primetime loss faze him. He said that Dart is always putting in the work, which is rare for a young quarterback in this NIL landscape.
The 22-year-old signal-caller has more than proven to Giants fans that he's the signal-caller of the future in New York this season, which is a welcome sight after six seasons of Daniel Jones. As much as that tenacity might put Dart in harm's way, it's exciting to know he has such a competitive spirit.
The ex-Heisman Trophy winner was also quick to admit Dart "has a certain type of aura" about him, which is something fans have seen all season long. Both Jones and Eli Manning were more reserved, so to see him embrace the bright lights and scrutiny of playing in New York is admirable.
The 25th overall pick in 2025 has been quick to win over the fanbase, and it's not hard to see where he gets it from. Yes, he has a fantastic support system in place, but his backup admitting he's working this hard despite playing with a lackluster crop of weapons means his best days have yet to come.
