In what can only be called the battle of the NFC Least on Sunday, the New York Giants and Washington Commanders will revisit their rivalry at the Meadowlands.
Both New York and Washington are in the midst of demoralizing seasons, as the G-Men are on a seven-game losing streak and the Commanders (who will be without Jayden Daniels on Sunday) are on an eight-game slide.
If there's any silver lining for Big Blue leading up to this division clash, rookie phenom Jaxson Dart will make his first home start since Week 9 against the San Francisco 49ers.
With Dart and company hoping to finish another dismal season on a positive note, Week 15 could mark a potential career first for the young gunslinger.
Jaxson Dart predicted to have first 300-yard game against 'weak and old' Commanders defense
In an article for ClutchPoints, Douglas Fritz gave bold predictions for the upcoming division clash. One of them had Dart tossing his first career 300-yard game in the NFL against a Commanders defense Fritz labeled as “weak and old.”
"The Commanders’ defense is weak and old," Fritz wrote. "There’s only so much [Dan] Quinn can do with play-calling. Dart should be able to extend plays, take shots down the field, and gain yards with his legs. His career high in rushing yards is 66. He could threaten that."
Entering the game, Washington ranks 30th in yards allowed (382.5 yards), 29th in points allowed (28.0), 31st in yards allowed per play (6.4), and 27th in total defense across the NFL. They also have just three turnovers on defense all season.
This is clearly not the same defense, let alone team, that allowed only six points against the G-Men all the way back in Week 1.

With Dart showing no hesitation in running the ball, he could very well surpass his career-high of 66 rushing yards, as Fritz alluded to. The former Ole Miss Rebel has also shown no fear airing it out downfield, even with the Giants’ receiving corps decimated and lacking a true No. 1 wideout since Malik Nabers suffered a season-ending torn ACL back in Week 4.
This could be the perfect game for the Giants to not only put an end to their seven-game losing streak, but for Jaxson Dart to take advantage of a struggling defense.
