While Jermaine Eluemunor is a professional athlete, the New York Giants' right tackle constantly reminds us that he's a human being first and foremost. His loyalty to England's national soccer team — and more importantly, Big Blue — is just another reminder of what makes him so relatable.
A London native, Eluemunor has proudly rooted for his hometown fútbol squad throughout the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He's even had the privilege of attending a live match, with the Giants' MetLife Stadium holding contests during the tournament and hosting the final.
However, at the end of the day, it all ties back to the Giants for Eluemunor. He's dedicated to the organization, and it somehow bleeds into an unwavering support of the Three Lions. Watching England on his turf has made him wonder about the environment when the Dallas Cowboys roll through for Sunday Night Football in Week 1.
So I’m at the England vs Panama game at MetLife and the atmosphere is crazy…but it’s got me thinking what Week 1 SNF will be like…Can’t wait!

England's FIFA World Cup run brings out Jermaine Eluemunor's passion for Giants
Unofficially, Eluemunor has become New York's online spokesperson. It's awesome to see him be authentic. He hasn't been afraid to share his unfiltered thoughts, whether in media appearances or on X (formerly known as Twitter).
"I truly believe I was bred to be a New York Giant and born to be on this team and to try to make a difference, and I wouldn’t have it any other way," Eluemunor stated, via Ian O'Connor of The Athletic. "I love American football more than anything, and I've committed my life to it, but I still love soccer. I'm a huge Arsenal fan and a humongous England fan."
Eluemunor will always cheer for England and represent the United Kingdom to the fullest, yet his devotion to New York has repeatedly been crystal clear. The veteran stalwart quite literally believes he was put on this earth to be a member of the G-Men after all.
An unconventional path to the NFL began with an appreciation for England, Arsenal and the sport known as "the beautiful game." Eluemunor hasn't forgotten where he came from, though the 31-year-old also remembers that his journey led him exactly where he's supposed to be: the Giants.
As badly as Eluemunor wants to see England claim its first title in 60 years, winning a Super Bowl with the Giants is the main focus. New York re-signed him to a three-year, $39 million contract extension this offseason.
