In the New York Giants' Week 11 loss to the Green Bay Packers, yet another player was added to the still growing and concerning list of those who have suffered a lower body injury on a playing surface that has been the bane of everyone in the league.

Packers running back Josh Jacobs suffered a knee injury that is likely to ensure he plays the next few games at less than 100% health. Jacobs puts the blame for this on the MetLife Stadium turf, which remains an issue among players who suit up for or against the Giants on this field.

Jacobs called the turf "definitely the worst" field in the league and said that he won't be speaking on it again, saying that he had tempted fate by calling out what an unsatisfactory and often unsafe playing surface it is.

The fact that everyone who plays at this stadium for even one game is admitting what a mess of a turf field the Giants have on their hands remains one of the biggest negative factors this organization has going for it, which is really saying something nowadays. Even the newly replaced turf stinks.

Josh Jacobs latest athlete to rip Giants' MetLife Stadium turf field

Aaron Rodgers, Nick Bosa, Jaelan Phillips, and Andrew Thomas are just four of the dozens of star athletes who have suffered serious lower body injuries playing on the MetLife turf. Injuries are always going to be commonplace in the game of football, but the injuries happening at MetLife are too great to ignore.

The powers that be have the ability to replace the turf with a grass field, which would better serve the players in basically every capacity, or at least improve the turf to a point where the injuries are not as commonplace. Instead, no radical change seems to be taking place.

If those in charge if such stadium operations aren't going to be swayed by the Jets' franchise-altering Rodgers injury or Nabers going down right as Jaxson Dart was trying to hit his pea, Jacobs' plea for some sort of change in this area is likely to unfortunately fall on some deaf ears.
