There are certainly mixed emotions surrounding the NY Giants right now. On one hand, the G-Men were able to get over the hump, as Big Blue took down the Chargers on Sunday for the team's first win of the 2025 season - finally, right?
However, the mood has no question been impacted due to the knee injury suffered by Malik Nabers. In the first half of the Week 4 win, Nabers jumped up to try to come down with a deep bomb from rookie Jaxson Dart, but things were off as soon as he left the ground.
Malik Nabers injury pushes the NY Giants toward existential crisis
It has since been reported by Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero the belief is that Nabers has suffered a torn ACL in his right knee. This changes everything for the G-Men in '25. Fellow former first-round pick Kayvon Thibodeaux found out about Nabers' likely ACL injury while in the locker room and his initial reaction said it all:

Kayvon Thibodeaux and others feel terrible for NY Giants WR Malik Nabers
"Man, you know, he's a ball player and that hurts," Thibodeaux said after being told the fear is Nabers tore his ACL. "But, and you know I hate to say it, but we didn't blink an eye (after the injury). He's a guy who we need as part of our team out on the field, but it's next man up. That's the name of the game and we just have to keep going."
As you can see in the clip above, though, Thibodeaux's initial reaction was an F-bomb, which was easily the same kind of reaction that plenty of others had out there. Nabers is a stud wideout and he's the biggest threat the Giants have on that side of the ball.
With Dart running the offense for the rest of the season, Brian Daboll and Co. were ready to see the young QB develop a close on-field bond with Nabers, a superstar talent on the outside for the NY offense. Instead, all signs are pointing to Nabers being off the field until 2026.
Last fall, Nabers was electric as a rookie and it came with a game of musical chairs being played at QB for the Giants. This season, Russell Wilson lasted three games as the starter before Daboll sent him to the bench in favor of Dart. Now, Dart will move forward with Darius Slayton as his top WR option, which is something no one was hoping would be the case in late September.
