New York Giants fans might want to sit down for this one. Star wide receiver Malik Nabers was spotted on video over the weekend dancing at Ciara’s birthday party alongside Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, and Brian Burns. It's the same Malik Nabers who tore his ACL and meniscus about a month ago and hasn’t had surgery yet.

Look, let’s acknowledge what needs to be acknowledged. It is very much possible to dance with a torn ACL. The guy didn’t shatter his leg. But for a fanbase still reeling from another 2-6 start, watching the team’s best offensive player grooving in a New York nightclub while the offense continues to sputter might not go over too well:

For what it's worth, the 22-year-old looked like he was moving fine in the video — maybe too fine. Again, we’re not sounding the alarm, nor are we calling for pitchforks. He's already ruled out for the season and can have a social life. That doesn’t mean some fans aren’t going to raise an eyebrow or three about why he’s hitting the dance floor before going under the knife.
Giants WR Malik Nabers seen dancing pre-surgery at Ciara’s birthday party
Nabers reportedly suffered an ACL and meniscus tear during Week 4’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. The team delayed surgery to allow the swelling to subside and to complete a month-long round of “pre-hab” to improve long-term recovery odds.
It’s not unusual — in fact, it happens way more often than people realize. Still, the optics of Nabers dancing during the recovery delay aren’t great.
Making matters worse, the video also surfaced right after rookie running back Cam Skattebo suffered a likely season-ending dislocated ankle, only heightening the urgency for offensive reinforcements around rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart.
Some might say dancing probably isn't the best way to let the swelling subside, but not me.
The hope is the star receiver undergoes surgery this week and is on track for a full recovery by the 2026 season. That remains the plan, and medical experts have maintained that the delay should help him come back stronger.
Still, it’s hard to watch him drop a spin move in street clothes and not wonder if he could be doing that in cleats. If he’s got one more route in him, the San Francisco 49ers come to town Sunday. Just saying.
