Sometimes, the right move is staring you in the face. You just have to be smart enough to realize it. Fortunately for the New York Giants, re-signing offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor was one of those moves.
According to Adam Schefter, the Giants are bringing back the 31-year-old fan favorite on a three-year, $39 million deal that shores up the right side of the offensive line for franchise quarterback Jaxson Dart:

Alexa, play The Boys Are Back In Town.
Bringing Eluemunor back was a no-brainer, especially at this price. I mean, come on. That's highway robbery at its finest. The only real hesitation entering free agency was how much money he was going to ask for and eventually settle on. Turns out, $13M AAV was the sweet spot. That's a steal.
Giants bring back Jermaine Eluemunor on insanely good contract and do right by Jaxson Dart
Eluemunor turned into exactly what the G-Men hoped he would be when they signed him two years ago. What started as a versatile swing lineman quickly became a full-time solution at right tackle, giving the Giants something they haven’t had in years: someone worthy of playing opposite Andrew Thomas.
For a young QB like Dart, having reliable protection on both sides is about as important as anything this offense can possibly do. But bringing him back on the deal they did is somehow better.
Eluemunor has started 31 games over the past two seasons and was one of the main reasons the Giants’ offensive line placed ninth in Pro Football Focus' 2025 rankings. The penalties can be frustrating at times, and the run blocking still has room to improve, but finding dependable starting tackles in free agency is never easy. Letting him walk would have created another problem the Giants didn’t need.
Heading into free agency, there was a consensus top-three group of Giants set to hit the open market that fans wanted back. The problem was that all three are about to get paid, which makes keeping everyone all but impossible. Those players were Eluemunor, Cor’Dale Flott, and Wan’Dale Robinson.
It was widely believed the G-Men would bring back two of the three, but after Robinson and Flott both followed Daboll to Tennessee, it turns out it's one and done for the Big Blue Free Agency Crew.
New York made the obvious move and kept one of the necessary pieces of their offensive line exactly where he belongs: protecting Dart. You can't overstate how much he means to this offense. His deal is the best thing to happen on a busy free agency Day 1, full stop.
