The New Orleans Saints' defense presented Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants' offense with several issues on Sunday. The Saints' defense forced five turnovers, including three fumbles, with Cam Skattebo, Darius Slayton, and Dart each having one. Not to mention, Dart also threw two interceptions and struggled to get anything going past the first two drives.
It's safe to say this was the rookie quarterback's "Welcome to the NFL" game, and it comes just a week after he upset the Los Angeles Chargers at home. While Dart struggled significantly in this game, fellow rookie Skattebo was also challenged by New Orleans' run defense.
One player on the Saints who particularly gave Skattebo trouble was veteran linebacker Demario Davis, who totaled 10 tackles (seven solo) and also had a pass defended. Fans are just learning that the 36-year-old was mic'd up and gave us plenty of viral moments on and off the field, including a clip of him describing Skattebo in a way Giants fans have never heard before.
Demario Davis just gave Cam Skattebo a nickname Giants fans didn't know they needed
In this week's episode of Inside the NFL, which is known for capturing viral mic'd-up clips from every game, Davis was caught on the sideline calling Skattebo a "bad little kid," a description Giants fans have not heard before. Davis even made a tackle on Skattebo and was talking trash to him afterward.
After the game, it was all love between Skattebo and Davis as they hugged it out, and the veteran stated that he has much respect for the rookie running back, telling him, "That's how you're supposed to play."
"44 like a bad little kid." 😂@camskattebo5 definitely made an impression on @demario__davis. @insidetheNFL Week 5 Mic'd Up on X pic.twitter.com/rt1sMDcPGq

Skattebo has quickly become a fan favorite in New York, bringing energy both on and off the field with his aggressive runs, which often leave defenders missing and breaking several tackles. He is also known for constantly screaming in the Giants' social media clips and flipping in the end zone after scoring touchdowns.
After his costly fumble in the end zone, the Giants' fourth-round pick was frustrated on the bench, and it looked like he was signaling the equipment staff, asking for new gloves. He even apologized to the Giants fans on his personal X account after the game, which tells you everything you need to know about Skattebo as a person:
Sorry giants fans!!! I’ll be better for yall!!!! Love!!!

Skattebo was not thrilled with this game, and it showed, which will make him play with even more of a chip on his shoulder when the Giants host the Eagles on Thursday Night. If he wasn't already playing running like a "bad little kid," he'll be angry and be motivated to take down Big Blue's divisional rivals in primetime.
