The New York Giants are fully embracing a youth movement, with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart delivering promising play every week. While New York’s other talented young stars Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo are already sidelined for the year, and the Giants’ season is too far gone to save, the future is still bright in New York. That’s why many people believe New York should aggressively pursue talented young players at the trade deadline.
The player who has been mentioned the most is Miami Dolphins receiver Jaylen Waddle. The Dolphins, who already fired their general manager, are on the verge of a rebuild. Understanding that, Miami is reportedly willing to listen to offers for all of its players, including Waddle. NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that a well-placed source said a Waddle trade is unlikely, but it could happen for the right package.
While a trade for Jaylen Waddle is considered “highly unlikely”, a trade for one of the Dolphins edge rushers is not. At least one is likely to be traded by Tuesday’s deadline. https://t.co/deXFeb2VAS

Giants could land Jaylen Waddle in a trade by sending a massive package to Dolphins
According to Schefter, the right package for Miami starts with a first-round pick — emphasis on starts. The insider’s source said the Dolphins want a first-round pick plus additional compensation. That’s a sign that Miami doesn’t really want to move Waddle, but it will if offered a package that’s too good to pass up.
While fans and media members have spent most of the season drawing up hypothetical trades to get Waddle to the Giants, the asking price may be too steep for New York to make this dream come true. Considering that Waddle, a consistently productive and explosive receiver, will be just 27 years old at the end of November, and is under contract for three more years after this season, the Giants could definitely justify a trade for him as a move for the future.
Ultimately, New York may just decide to hold on to its picks and continue building the team through the draft. With the trade deadline on Tuesday, November 4, everyone will soon learn what the Giants decide.
