Despite having been retired from the NFL for nearly seven years, Eli Manning is still very close to the New York Giants.
Whether it’s mentioning them on the ManningCast, talking about them on sports talk radio or television, or even visiting the facility, Manning will never forget the franchise he delivered two Super Bowls to.
The 45-year-old, however, also loves to talk Big Blue football on social media, something he never used during his 16-year playing career, understandably so. But with his playing days long behind him, this latest social media post will have Giants fans laughing up a wall.
Eli Manning jokingly jabs at Giants fans about not coming out of retirement
Manning took to X, formerly known as Twitter, this week and responded to a post that was clearly focused on Odell Beckham Jr.'s potential return to New York:
Guys, I’m not coming back to play! Stop asking. https://t.co/CHYLAuAALz
— Eli Manning (@EliManning) May 6, 2026
This post, of course, highlighted Beckham's prime years with the Giants, including an 87-yard touchdown during the 2015 season against the New England Patriots. The Giants' former first-round pick most notably underwent a physical at the Giants' facility around the NFL Draft. Even though reports said it went well, nothing has since come out about a potential reunion.
Manning, though, was just poking some fun at Giants fans, as this post wasn't at all about him coming out of retirement. Still, you can't help but laugh at this.
If you’re a diehard Giants fan, you should know the guy has one of the best senses of humor, despite the low-key demeanor he carried during his playing career, which, as many of you know, was scrutinized at times by some fans. Still, he was an Iron Horse for Big Blue, something many fans were certainly grateful for.
Eli Manning is simply one of a kind, and there is certainly nothing wrong with wanting to poke a little fun on social media, as he has been very active since hanging up his cleats.
And while I guess we can finally put to rest any outlandish rumors that Manning, for some reason, would want to return, you can at least keep speculating if Odell himself is on the cusp of returning to East Rutherford for one last go around.
