Some things never get old. The New York Giants spoiling dynasties. Helmet catches. And Eli Manning sending Tom Brady home empty-handed... twice. On the field, Manning always had Brady's number, at least when the lights were brightest. However, the rivalry off the field might just be as entertaining, if not more.
On Friday, during Fanatics Fest NYC, the two were at it again, and this time, there were no football fields in sight.
In what was likely a WWE marketing event, Brady emerged to WWE superstar Cody Rhodes’ intro music with a title belt slung over his shoulder, showcasing his ego like never bef... like he always does. What happened next was pure cinema.
After ripping a New York Jets jersey right out of a fan’s hand and spitting on it, he turned his attention to a Manning No. 10 jersey. The two-time Super Bowl runner-up to the Giants took the jersey and tore it in half, screaming, “Let’s go! Let’s go!” Brady didn’t realize Manning was watching the whole time. And he came sprinting down the hall to let Brady know he wasn't going to let that fly.
It's chaos at @FanaticsFest! 👀@TomBrady just ripped up an @EliManning jersey, and that wasn't going to fly with Eli! 🤣@Fanatics pic.twitter.com/VvjNGzxKTC

Eli Manning shows Tom Brady the rivalry isn’t over
The moment was all around hilarious and perfect for the environment. It seems like the two former on-field rivals have accepted a new, more fun off-field one.
It wasn't too long ago that Manning and Brady traded jabs online in a viral fishing post battle. Brady kicked things off by showing off a shirtless pic holding a small catch, joking about the cold in Buffalo. Manning fired back with a photo of his own, proudly hoisting a much bigger fish and captioning it, “Cute minnow, Tom!” Brady clapped back with a dig referencing the infamous Helmet Catch, keeping the rivalry alive even on Instagram.
The pair gave fans two of the most iconic Super Bowls ever, both ending with the Giants stunning heavily favored Patriots teams. Manning derailed Brady’s perfect season in Super Bowl XLII, then beat him again in Super Bowl XLVI with another late-game dagger. Brady may own more rings, but Manning owns the head-to-head.
No matter how many trophies Brady lifts, he’ll always be the guy Eli beat when it mattered most.
As long as these two are around, the rivalry isn’t going anywhere. Whether it’s on social media, in a cage match, or at the Super Bowl, Eli Manning will always be right there — living rent-free in Tom Brady’s legacy.
