You may not believe this, but New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart already has as many primetime wins as Daniel Jones did during his entire tenure in the Big Apple. No, really, it's true. As you read that, you may be wondering: Did Dart start against the Kansas City Chiefs, and did the G-Men win that game? Am I going crazy?
You aren't, and you're remembering correctly. Big Blue's win against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football marked Dart's first victory in primetime, giving him a 1-0 record in the slot (stop the count!). Yes, that means during his entire tenure, Jones only had one primetime win...in FIFTEEN (15) games. That's 1-14 with No. 8 under center in front of the whole country, which is just brutal.
Jaxson Dart already has as many primetime wins in his career as Daniel Jones had in six years with the Giants.

So, if Thursday's win felt a little sweeter, it's because it was. Big Blue won its first division game after being winless in its past nine, and got the proverbial primetime monkey off their back. Finally, the Giants not only didn't embarrass the fan base, but also (and most importantly) won the game.
Giants' youth movement is making football fun again
Not just with the win, but Dart under center in general is giving the fanbase such a breath of fresh air in this post-Jones era. Simply put, Dart and his rookie partner in crime, running back Cam Skattebo, are making football fun again. Even though Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts connected with a wide-open Devonta Smith to take the lead and maybe win the game, the Giants were still fun to watch. Something this fan base hasn't been able to say for a while.
There has been such a different energy with this team since head coach Brian Daboll named Dart the starter. Yes, it was probably a last-ditch effort to save his job, but so far it's paid off. Dart has looked every bit the part, and it was awesome he got to show that to the whole country and not just Giants fans.
After the loss to the New Orleans Saints, most Giants fans were probably dreading Thursday's game. The defending Super Bowl champions in primetime? That used to be a recipe for disaster. Now? Big Blue Nation has hope, and they have the young guns to thank for that. Dart matched Jones, and hopefully, he doubles him up on December 1, against the New England Patriots on a Monday night.
