Just when you thought the New York Giants were swept up by breakfast foods and two-way ability, a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter throws a wrench into the plan like only he knows how. On Monday, Schefter reported the Giants will be headed to Boulder, CO for one last final, private workout with Shedeur Sanders, presumably to solidify their pick at No. 3.

The visit is odd... intriguing, almost, and should pique the interest of G-Men fans and NFL fans alike. Sanders will be wrapping up a trip with the Las Vegas Raiders Monday before he heads back to Colorado to put on—what should be—his final pre-draft performance for New York. Timing is everything.
We are ten days away from draft night, so why on Earth are the Giants pushing for a private workout with Sanders? They've already been to his Pro Day—where everyone under the Sun attended. Is this strictly a smokescreen? Are they trying to throw other teams off the scent? Only time will tell, but it's a super interesting move nonetheless.
The Giants aren't done with Shedeur Sanders just yet...
Just when you thought Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston were enough, general manager Joe Schoen says, "Hold my beer." For days—feels like years—the talk of the town has been how the G-Men might be moving away from taking a quarterback with the third-overall pick. Now, that noise has quieted. Mightily. Eerily.
Now, Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter feel somewhat like fantasies. Dreams, even. Thanks, Schefty.
If nothing else, this visit proves the Giants are keeping their quarterback options alive right up until the buzzer. That’s not something a team does if it’s totally sold on its current room. Wilson and Winston might be enough to hold down the fort in 2025—but clearly, Schoen hasn’t ruled out swinging for something more. Perhaps at No.3.
Shedeur Sanders still brings plenty to the table. He’s poised, accurate, and plays with that chip-on-his-shoulder edge that reflects how he prepares, leads, and competes. But he’s also become one of the more divisive names in the class. Some see a future franchise guy. Others see a fringe first-rounder with tools worth betting on. The Giants? They’re clearly doing the math themselves.
And if this final look blows them away, don’t be shocked if Sanders shoots right back into the QB1 conversation in East Rutherford.
If it doesn’t? That’s the beauty of where the Giants are sitting.
Hunter might be the best overall player in the draft. Carter might be 1B. And the Giants are in a position where either one could be the pick at No. 3 without an ounce of buyer’s remorse. They’ve inadvertently built themselves a no-lose scenario—quarterback or not.
This Sanders visit might not tip the scales. But it does keep every door open. And if Schoen’s really hunting for a long-term answer under center, this might be the last box left to check. Either way, Big Blue really can’t miss here.
