There were a lot of new acquisitions made by the New York Giants this offseason, and all signs are pointing toward the 2026 season being a successful one. New offensive coordinator Matt Nagy hasn’t even set foot into his office, and he has to be giddy with how this offense will look.

Bleacher Report released their rankings for all 32 NFL teams following the draft that just happened last week. The G-Men were slotted at the 13th spot, which might be the lucky number.

Let’s talk about why.

Matt Nagy has everything he needs to elevate Giants' offense

There is no denying the Giants went out and grabbed the necessary pieces for the Super Bowl puzzle. From the top, they got John Harbaugh to lead this group, the aforementioned Nagy to bring his experience with Patrick Mahomes to influence Jaxson Dart, and a surplus of talent was signed on both sides of the ball.

Isaiah Likely, Darnell Mooney, and the selections of Malachi Fields and Francis Mauigoa highlight the new offensive additions. Each has a direct impact on the future of this organization. There may be one more signing before this is all over, and it will bring a happy tear to every Giants fan’s face in Odell Beckham Jr.

There is an elephant in the room here, though. There has to be an emphasis that the only way this Giants team puts out a better result on the field is by keeping their star players on it.

The 2025 season was a definitive step forward, but it was never fully in sync. Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo were both injured, which limited the true potential of the offense. But now, with both seemingly ready to go by training camp, and these new additions to boot, that 13th ranking might actually be a bit too low.

Now, that might be getting ahead of ourselves, but there has to be a sense that this team is going to be better. A full offseason of preparation and studying by Dart, as well as the championship pedigree that has been brought into the building with Harbaugh and Nagy, this is going to be a completely different season than years past.

Growing pains are to be expected, but they should not last long. After a few games together, this group is going to click, and when that happens, is when the true potential will reveal itself. Harbaugh wants to bring this team to the playoffs in year one, and that is looking more and more likely with this offensive group.
