Believe it or not, New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson found a way to become even more unlikable within the fanbase. Following the Sunday Night Football loss to the Kansas City Chiefs (the Giants are now 0-3), Wilson played the hits in his press conference. He gave fans the same old, same old about the Giants “just needing one or two more plays” and how he needs to “play better.”
"It was a close game, it was a battle all the way. I think that we just needed one or two more plays. Obviously, I want to play better for us."

Classic answers. Except in this case, they didn’t even answer the question. Wilson was asked how frustrating it was to have two games without a single passing touchdown. Instead of offering any passionate response that might ignite even a flicker of accountability, we were treated to what felt like a pre-programmed answer with absolutely zero emotion. Literally, he looked like a robot up there. Monotone, uninspiring, just gross.

Not something you want to see from the guy leading your franchise. If you want to give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe that’s just how he shows frustration—but we all know that’s not true. We’ve seen him moved to tears on the football field before. It would be nice to see that same kind of passion after a brutal loss like this.
Russell Wilson’s apathetic presser mirrored his play, and now it’s Jaxson Dart time
It’s now fair to say whatever we saw in Week 2 against the Cowboys was nothing more than a fluke. We’re not getting another 450-yard performance from Wilson, and the longer the organization clings to that hope, the worse off the Giants will be.
In Weeks 1 and 3 combined, Wilson has thrown for 328 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions. That’s the total. In two games. Like much of what we’ve seen from this team in 2025, it’s unacceptable. That’s why a decision has already been made.
The Giants have officially named Jaxson Dart the starter for Week 4 against the Chargers. It was time. They’re 0-3, desperate for a spark, and judging from Wilson’s latest press conference, it’s clearly not going to come from him.
Brian Daboll, Joe Schoen, John Mara — if you’re reading this, good. You traded back into the first round to take Dart. Now let’s see what the kid’s got. The schedule doesn’t do him any favors, but this is the NFL. If he has it, he’ll figure it out.
