The New York Giants already have plenty of star power on the defensive line, but if John Harbaugh has his way, they could get even better up front. The Giants are doing their homework on some of the top defensive prospects in this draft, especially now that pre-draft visits have officially kicked off.

The G-Men have met with plenty of top prospects so far, but they're looking beyond their fifth overall pick. Harbaugh and Schoen are setting out to make sure that they exhaust all options later on in the draft, because even if something doesn't appear to be a need now doesn't mean it'll stay that way.

However, that starts and ends with being prepared with the 37th pick. According to the New York Post's Ryan Dunleavy, the Giants are hosting Georgia defensive tackle Christen Miller on a top 30 visit, and there is a real shot he is someone they could look into drafting in the early second round.

The New York Giants' interest in Christen Miller is a bit of a mystery

The 30 visits provide teams another opportunity to receive information on prospects, so while we still have a month to decipher how genuine their interest in Miller is, they have to have some level of interest in addressing the trenches early, although I would prefer Big Blue look at the opposite side.

The 21-year-old is one of the best IDL prospects in this draft in a deep class at defensive tackle. We have Peter Woods, Kayden McDonald, Caleb Banks, Lee Hunter, and Miller all expected to be drafted inside the top 50 picks, so the burning question is whether the Giants can find better value at the position.

The only reason a 30-visit with Miller is weird is that the Giants drafted Darius Alexander in the third round a year ago, and it feels a bit early to give up on him. And since they aren't trading Dexter Lawrence, taking another rotational DT over a bigger position of need like WR or OT is perplexing.

At almost 6-foot-4 and 321 pounds, the All-SEC defender shined in 2025. His 1.5 sacks and four tackles for loss may not exactly jump off the page, but for a 1-technique nose tackle, he'll always fill a need. And having to slow down all of Miller, Lawrence, Brian Burns, and Abdul Carter is a losing game.

If the Giants were to draft Miller, his motor would help him instantly play a key role, but as a late first or early second-round pick, it's no guarantee that he's even available at 37. It would be incredibly fun, but don't get too attached to this pairing, given the number of holes that remain on this roster.
